Virtual psychiatric care in Washington & Montana for Anxiety, ADD/ADHD, Depression, and Sleep Disorders

Dr. Troy Henley, DNP, PMhNp-BC

Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

In 2023 I completed my doctoral training as a psychiatric nurse practitioner at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. I earned my board certification in the fall of that same year. I am currently licensed as a psychiatric provider in Washington State and Montana and have prescriptive authority for controlled and non-controlled medications in both states as well. Since finishing my training I've had many opportunities to support and collaborate with clients from diverse backgrounds as they built positive change in their lives. Over these past few years I’ve discovered that my passion lies in delivering high-quality, evidence-based evaluation and management for adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD/ADD), Anxiety, Depression, and Sleep Disorders/Insomnia. I'm confident that we, working together, can lighten your burdens, improve your mental health, optimize your professional performance, and enhance your personal wellbeing. I'm looking forward to coming alongside and walking with you as your mental health journey unfolds.

What it’s like to work with me

In addition to my expertise with prescribing psychiatric medications and doing talk therapy (ACT and CBT, amongst others), I try to integrate alternative and complimentary treatments whenever I can while working hard to highlight opportunities for holistic change. I am passionate about helping my clients build resilience and adaptability. I view myself as part of your larger care team and look forward to joining forces with your family, primary care provider, therapist, naturopath, faith community, and whoever else is fighting with you and for you as you seek to flourish as a whole person.

Our first several sessions will be focused on a comprehensive medical and mental health history and articulating your needs, hopes, concerns, and goals. While I often prescribe medication and order tests as part of our first visit, this will not always happen. Developing a safe and effective treatment plan for you may require more dialogue beyond our first appointment. If this is so, I will endeavor to make sure our follow up appointment happens as soon as possible so you aren't left waiting weeks or months for help.
